Will my paint protection film look glossy or dull?
Paint protection film is designed to bring out the absolute best in your vehicle’s paint finish and general appearance. If you select any PPF packages meant for glossy automobiles (non-matte-colored ones), you will get a full gloss enhancement thanks to the nanoparticle technology found in the XPEL film top coat. After installation, your vehicle’s paintwork will never look better, and it will remain so with precision and very little maintenance!
How many times will my PPF need replacing?
At Presidential Automotive Detailing, we offer our customers the longest-lasting paint protection film products in the industry, provided by XPEL! With regular washing and exterior detailing as a way to preserve the warranties of our PPF products, your clear bra will last for up to 10 years! However, if the film suffers severe damages or extremely heavy defects due to unforeseen circumstances, it may need replacing sooner. While we cannot guarantee that nothing can damage the vehicle while driving, in most cases, your paintwork beneath will typically be left undamaged, and the film has done its job!
What can I have a paint protection film applied to?
The paint protection film is designed to be applied to any painted exterior surface on any make and model automobile. However, they can also be applied to things such as metal trim, carbon fiber, and even gloss black pillars with the proper application processes! While paint protection film is not quite as versatile as vinyl film, they offer much better protection for your vehicle due to its increased film thickness!
What type of PPF coverage should I select?
Presidential Automotive Detailing offers multiple paint protection film packages. We do this because each and every driver is different, and every vehicle has different needs. While you may require more or less coverage, a good rule of thumb is to ensure each and every one of the high-impact areas are covered above all else, as these are most affected by road hazards, debris, and stains from bird droppings and bug splatters.

Measuring and Cutting Your PPF
Each vehicle requires different levels of coverage. By using XPELs DAP software, we can machine cut film that is precisely cut to fit your exact year, make, model and trim! Using custom templates, we will wrap edges where possible and any edge that cannot be wrapped will have an extremely straight computer cut edge that follows the exact contours of your vehicle. This makes our packages completely disappear on the vehicle. Most people can’t even tell we have put anything on their paint!
Exterior Wash and Decontamination
The first step in our certified XPEL PPF installation process must start with a full and proper exterior detailing process. Because even simply driving to our Tampa, Florida detailing studio will allow your vehicles paint to collect some contamination. This process allows us to remove ALL residual oils, waxes, grease and any other messes that may hinder installation. Once we have your vehicle clean, we also use an iron and fallout remover to chemically strip the vehicles paint from any bonded contaminants and to go even a step further, we use a clay bar to perfectly clean the surface prior to any film being applied to the vehicle.
Hand Installation
Taking caution to ensure the film is perfectly fitting around your car, truck, or SUV, we carefully apply the package by hand, wrapping the edges and smoothing out any bubbles, air pockets, or ripples left behind. We ensure that each and every piece to your PPF package is form-fitted to your vehicle’s curvature, allowing it to bond to your exterior surfaces evenly. Once your film is applied and the adhesive has cured, we apply any ceramic coatings you may have chosen and return your vehicle to you so you can enjoy it in the safest way - Fully protected!
